MINI CRIB

Just wondering if anybody bought a mini crib and what brand.  I'm looking for the one with the drop side.  We're having twins and 2 regular cribs can't fit our bedroom.

We already bought and installed our mini cribs.  It's Delta Riley and it looks good.  Bought it at amazon.com, no tax and free shipping to our home.  I also bought the porta crib bumper and sheet at amazon.com.  Bought an extra portable crib sheet at babies r us for less than $20 for 2.  I know buy buy baby have crib sheets for portable cribs for a reasonable price.  I will put the babies in 1 pack n play but will eventually move them to their own cribs later.

We expect our twins in june. We were looking at the mini cribs because we didn't have enough space either. We soon found out that although they are cheaper and smaller. It will cost a  lot more in the long run. Mainly because you have to special order the matressfor it, and the sheets and bedding. And they only have a select few choioces when it comes to bedding. Plus, it is more expensive and yyou have to pay for shipping because no store carries them in-store. So We decided to have one crib to start out because twins naturally want to sleep together anyway. then once they start tossing and turning in their sleep we will either get another crib or put in in our pack-a-play.

Could you mean portable crib?  I have also read that the crib rails should be stationary, but I am a 1st timer, and know many other friends who had drop side cribs and were fine.

No.  Mini crib is smaller than standard size crib.  We need to buy 2 of them.

Are you talking about the co-sleepers?

I am not sure where you live but cribs with drop side have all been recalled here in Canada (storkcraft brand). Not sure about the mini cribs but if they did such a massive recall here i would try to find solid sided ones
