Ok, I really doubt we are going. I just found out I have appointments scheduled for the next 3 weeks. Maybe afterwards we can go on vacation. I am going to need it before the triplets are born!!
If you travel by plane you really should ask you new DR for this thingy (can't remember the name!) to cover your belly for the flight. Airplanes have a LOT of radiation, & I wouldn't take any chances w/out it. It's kind of like the thing dentist use, but its smaller just to cover your belly :)
Have fun!
Well the problem is that they haven't even told me who my new doctor is. I just spoke with my old OB and they said that they can't really do anything until my new doctor calls with an appointment and that's when they give me the new information so I guess right now I'm without a doctor. I even told them that I had to get an u/s two weeks after my reduction which the two weeks will be Friday and they just said they couldn't do anything about it. It's already been a week since they transferred me and I have no idea who my new doctor is!! I am so annoyed by all this.
Call your new Dr. He should have your records and even though he has not seen you, he can help make your decision.
Thanks!! If we go I am definitly going to fly since it's only a 3 hour flight. He is anxious to go since we will most likely not be able to go for a while after the babies are born!!
I'm having twins and when I waw the perintologist, he told me that if I travel by car I need to stop every hour and walk around/stretch and drink plenty of water. They didn't advise against it, but I was talking about a 4-5 hour car ride versus a 2 day drive. That sounds like a long time to be in a car and I know it would be very uncomfortable for me to be in there that long. Ultimately, my husband and I chose not to go just to be on the safe side. (We tried three years for the babies and didn't want to take any risks!) I think I would wait and see what the perintologist says before you go just to be safe, especially since you are already having second thoughts about going.
