Twin Movement

So I am going on 16 weeks pregnant with twins. I am beginning to feel a bit of movement but I am a bit worried. My babies are side by side (so one on right and one on left). I feel as though I feel movement toward the middle and on the left side of my belly and not on the right. Is it common to feel one baby before the other or possible they are both closer to the left side at this early of a stage?

I felt my girl more than the boy...it could be orientation of the placenta.  Also, now that they are a month old I can tell the girl is more active.  Best of luck to you!

Thought I would try to ease your worry about the baby movements. I have one boy/girl set of twins. My little girl sits criss-cross applesauce on mommy's bladder lol and my little boy is right under my diaphragm but from rib to rib. I am 21 weeks with them and have only really felt my little girl. She likes to kick a lot lol. My little boy I notice more when I am walking and get an elbow in the diaphragm because I have a hard time breathing. They have been side by side and they have been head down. At the present moment though, they sit in a "T" according to my sonograph tech. If it wasn't for the shortness of breath though I would constantly be worried about him. I read a book called What to Expect While Your Expecting. I can't seem to put it down because it truely can calm your nerves about what is going on. It tells in a section in the book if you cannot feel your little ones to drink a glass of milk and lay down for about an hour. You will feel them move around a bit. It works, I have tried it. I still do not feel my son as much but he does move a bit more then normal when I try this. I see the Doctor every three to four weeks depending on their scheduling. Hang in there! I get reassured every visit that my babies are doing marvelous! May your pregnancy go smooth and your worries be set aside! Good luck!!

lol. so your last three... soon to be five will be very close in range with my soon to be five. lol. My mom had 5 girls and 2 boys. So did my grandma. I think i'm going to end up with five boys! but can still hope for girls... for two more weeks until I find out for sure. So do you go to the doctor every two or every four weeks? I wish I went every two but my doctor has scheduled me for four. Darnit. lol.

That is so crazy that they can move around like that. I am wondering if mine haven't moved, but the u/s tech said they couldn't switch sides. I guess she didn't say they couldn't end up one on top of the other. I'm not sure on the sexes of mine yet, either two boys or two girls. I have a boy name and a girl name picked out. lol. We like Alison for a girl and Carson for a boy. My middle son... for the moment... is named Jacob as well as my husband. lol. Other girl names that I like are Amelia, Alexxus(sp?) and Sophia. DH doesnt like any of those. lol. I also like Cameron, Ethan, or Mason for a boy but DH doesnt like any of those either! Hoping for two girls as we have three boys at home and this will be our last pregnancy but I am already pretending as if they are two boys so I will be surprised if they are girls. So how old are all of your other children? Mine are 6, 4, and 3. Talk to you later.

my twins are every ware one min side by side next on top of each other.some times it looks like one is putting the other in a head lock lol jk i have a placenta that is in the front so im thinking its kinda to my left cuz thats ware i never feel them. im 20 weeks but mesuring 26 weeks so my uterus is pretty big and it will only get bigger ugh lol. do you have any names for your babies? im thinking Jacob for the boy and Ayla or Alora for a girl but i change my mind so much the boy has to start with a J and the girl with an A im just crazy like that. have a good night***Angie***

So your twins are side by side too? Sometimes I think I feel movement up by my ribs but figured i'm not far along enough for that. I bought a fetal heart monitor like the doctors have for home so I can feel a bit better... lol. My doctor is giving me appts every 4 weeks instead of every 2 like I was hoping so its a long wait in between. I didn't worry when it was just one... but now that its two its so much more of a worry! Congrats on the boy and girl btw!
