Twins with high nuchal fold..very worried

Hello! I'm 39 y.o. and we're expecting di-di twins. Just got the result of the NT test and both babies have thick NT. Baby A has .39 mm with 1:5 risk for down syndrome. Baby B has .59 mm with 1:<5 risk for down syndrome. Dr. suggested doing amnio. I didn't want to do it but with such high risk, we wanted to know. I've been crying every night. Dr. also suggested selective termination if one is affected. Has anyone received the same risk assessment and turned out that both babies are fine? I'm so depressed. Please help!

Just an update...got a call from my doctor last night.  The amnio report came back and both babies are normal.  Praise God!!!
We're not out of the woods yet.  We need to do anatomy scan and check their hearts @ 20 weeks to make sure they are ok.

We're doing the amnio, first, because we got pregnant via IVF, only transferring one embryo. It apparently split, and so we're expecting twins ;) At our last u/s, the high risk doc swore there was one boy & one girl, which surprised them all because with a single embryo, they should be identical. Although exciting, it also raised concerns that something serious could be wrong with one or both babies. We had talked about having an amnio done & then our blood test came back in the positive range for Down's. So, we decided to have the amnio to see if our babies are okay & if not, to pepare ourselves for whatever disability they may have. I'm one of those people who just needs to know ;) I think the unknown would worry me too much.  So, yours is set for 2 weeks from today. Try your best to stay positive for your babies between now & then. The worry isn't good for them. I'll let you know how everything goes. Take care!!!

Thank you for praying for us.  I'm 13 weeks.  I've scheduled for amnio on 11/23, when I'm around 15 weeks.  Please let me know how your amnio turns out.  Can I ask why you're doing the amnio?

Hi. I responded to your post on the 35+ forum. How far along are you? I'm almost 20 weeks with di-di twins & have an amnio scheduled for Wednesday. I'm very sorry you're having to deal with so many what-ifs at once & I pray for you & your babies that everything works out ;)
