1st period after birth?

I am curious as to when it is normal to get the 1st period after a twin delivery?

I breastfed (bf'd) for 4 weeks with my girls and today it is 8 weeks since birth and I haven't got my af yet. With my dd, I bf'd for 3 weeks and got my 1st period after 6 weeks. I have PCOS so my cycles are 35 days.

Any advice or knowlege about this is very much appreciated.

I dont think that with twins it is different from singletons. I think that it depends on the woman and her individual cycle/hormones/etc.

With my daughter, I got mine about 5 mo afterwards.. I was still breastfeeding 100% of the time.

I think I got mine at 10 week after I delivered....and I was pumping for the first 8 weeks

I was pumping and got mine exactly 6 weeks later....what was crazy is I bled for for six weeks and it really lightened up, and then BAM, I got my period.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I nursed her for 14 and a half months (well she was not FULLY weaned until then.  I started to wean her at a year, but it took 2 and a half months to get rid of the night/morning nursings.)  Anyhow it wasn't until over a month after I completely stopped nursing her that I got my period back.  So I think how long you nurse does effect it.  However, it'll be interesting to see this time around, since I'm pregnant with twins, if there is a difference!

Thanks for all of the replies ladies. You are the best! I guess we will wait and see. I did bleed for about three weeks and it surprised me how much more it was than with my singleton pregnancy.
