Weight loss???

Has anyone lost weight in their first trimester? I'm now almost 8 weeks with twins and have lost a few pounds. I lost my appetite just after my IVF treatment cos I was sooo bloated n in so much pain from enlarged ovaries. But I felt better 2 weeks ago and I'm eating normally now (I think) despite feeling nauseous throughout the day. However I can't seem to put back the weight I lost and even seem to be losing a little more. Is this normal? I was already underweight to begin with and usually I find it very difficult to put on weight. I'm so worried that it may affect my pregnancy or my health. I would appreciate any input. Thanks...

I lost about 15lbs in my first trimester.  I did IVF as well and was extremely sick for the whole trimester.  It got so bad I couldn't even keep sips of water down.  One night I was puking so much and so hard that I tore my esophogus and started throwing up blood.  I ended up even having to be put under for an endoscopic procedure.  Both my babies are wonderful and healthy.  I know it's hard not to worry but please know they are very well protected in your "baby hotel"
keep your doctor informed of your concerns!
Congratulations!!!!!
Lots of love

if you are worried you can talk to your ob about it. s/he may be able to prescribe a multi vitamin or something to help you gain weight.
