krisappletini,   Keep me posted with your ultrasound next week!  How exciting. I can not wait till my 20 week ultrasound.

realitychrissie, I am 14w2d today.  We are one day apart!  How exciting!!!
How do you know one is  boy?  Why do you feel like you have let everyone down?
I promise you, once you have the babies, everyone will love and adore them no matter what they are!!

Hi there, I am currently 14 weeks 3 days pregnant with twins. Due date May 8th or 9th.
For me nausea and heart burn are constant.
I have been trying for so long that I should be happy and thrilled with twins now I feel pressure from everyone to have girls. I know one is a boy and I am over the moon but other that my husband I feel I have let everyone down.

Congratulations on your twins!  I am 19 weeks w/twins and hopefully we can find out their gender at our ultrasound next week.  I was lucky and only had nausea during my first trimester.  I was hoping that I would have more energy as I progressed into my second trimester, but I pretty much have to take a nap each day.  My OB also said that I might have to have a C-section for the same reason that your OB told you.

I'm 25 weeks w/ twins (boy and girl) that resulted from fertility treatments :) Super excited, but also super nervous at the same time! I'm getting to the point where my back hurts a lot, my feet are swelling, and it's harder to move around, but as of my last dr. visit, both babies are super healthy & growing right on track!

We are naming the girls Taylor and Madison. Daddy wanted boys so I thought atleast he could pick out their names to help form a bond with his girls. I got lucky because I really like both of the names he picked out!

reality - Sorry to hear that you are uncomfortable. What is making you feel that way? Are you getting a big belly yet? Having back issues?

I am 12 weeks pregnant and going in for my NT Scan on Tuesday. I have opted not to have an amnio unless something odd shows up during the NT.
Congratulations on your twins. This is my first pregnancy and at 3:30 in the morning along with the nausea and heartburn, I am not one of those women who are glowing all the time. I am uncomfortable all the time, it seems everyone else is having an incredible experience. I am thrilled to be pregnant and love the fact I have two beautiiful babies inside of me, but I wish it was slightly more comfortable.

Funny you mention the type of delivery.  My ob said we will continue to monitor me and make the decision when the time comes.  She said some woman can deliver both vaginally HOWEVER there are alot of woman where the 1st comes out no problem and then the 2nd ends up having to be done c-section. My OB said she would rather do the c-section for both if that appears it will be the situation for me. My OB is also opting to let me go as long as I can.  She said 37 weeks is considered term for twins so I am holding out hope! :)
Since I will be having u/s every 4 weeks, they will be able to tell me the sex at 16 weeks....5 more weeks! YEAH!  I am so excited.

Have you picked names for the girls yet??

Awesome, i'm so glad that you have such a great OB. I would talk with her about how she likes to handle delivery of twins early on. My OB wants to give me a c-section at 36 weeks and I have absolutely no complications so far which is weird. And they told me that at week 12! I guess it's good to know what to prepare for. We are also having fraternal twin girls from using Clomid while ttc. I am 24 weeks along. I went in for my 24 week appt yesterday and they said the babies are already a pound and a half each! So now we can them our little meatballs hehe What date will you find out the genders?

Tattymouse ~ These our our first children so thankfully I can get as much rest as I need during the pregnancy. They are fraternal twins which is less risky as they have their own placenta/yolksac.

Lil_Lady25 ~  I am very very lucky to have such a fantastic OBGYN.  She currently has 2 other sets of twins and I am very confident in her ability.  Thanks for the tip!
How far along are you?  Do you know the sex yet?

That's great, ours were a complete surprise as well. My first suggestion is to find a OB that specializes in twin pregnancy or go to a High Risk doctor. I go to both my normal OB and HR office and it's frustrating because one doctor never knows what the other is doing. If I had a choice early on I would have just went to the HR doctor. Also, I agree with tatty - get lots of rest if you can. Especially in the first trimester as thats when the babies need it the most. Once I got into my second trimester I noticed that my energy started to slowly return. Other than that just enjoy yourself! I have been blessed to have a non complicated pregnancy so far besides the back aches. Hope that you get just as lucky!

hi :)
I am also 24 weeks pregnant with twin girls (non identical).  i have to say its very tiring and painful for me.  more than a singleton pregnancy but perhaps its because i have 5 children already that my body finds it more exhausting!  i think one tip that am sure people have told you is rest as much as possible, i cant as i have a very active household!  do you have nay other children?  are you having identical or non identical twins??
Congrats on the double bump :) xxxx
