Nervous about twins.

So I had my second ultrasound, and seeing those 2 babies in there is still a bit overwhelming. In excited of course, but my oldest daughter is 5, and I get nervous around newborns now, as if I never had my owb before. And then I start worrying about having TWO newborns to hold, feed, and rock to sleep. My babies father is around, but our relationship statud is single. We decide to co parent, but not luve together. So Ill be doing most of the night feedings and stuff all alone, while he helps financially and when he has time off work. Any single mothers of 2 or more have any experience/stories to share?

I understand your situation. I am not single but often "feel" like I am. LOL
I am not going to sugarcoat it; IT'S REALLY HARD! Especially in the first few months of their lives. You can feed and change one...get in the bed and the other baby will start crying. You will feel like you will never sleep again. But hang in there! It will get better....

Someone gave me some great advice on this forum, and I am passing it on to others.  FEED, CHANGE THEM, ETC. AT THE SAME TIME! If one is asleep, wake them up!  The babies have to learn to be on the same schedule.  In order to feed them at the same time, I had two bouncy seats set up in my room and ready to go for midnight feedings. I also had to use a blanket to prop the bottles. (For me, I couldn't hold and feed them at the same time. So, that was not an option.)

Congratulations! :)

Not confirmed if fraternal or identical yet, but they are in two sacs. I think next appointment they will take a closer look :-)

Not single but so excited for you.  Have they confirmed if you are having di/di twins?
