growing so fast

isn't it just amazing how fast our little guys/gals grow? my oldest (by 5 minutes lol) brett started cruising today!!! he pulled himself up to standing next to the couch (he's been doing that for about a week now) and cruised his way down to me. lol.

i do have a question for those who have already had their babies....what did you do about your stretch marks? no matter what i do i can't get them to go away completely.

oh i make EVERYTHING a memory with them!! lol. the best present i've gotten?? the new digi cam my mom bought me for christmas!!!! that thing goes EVERYWHERE with me! lol. you never know when they'll do something new and cute. i've got so many pictures on the comp that i need to print out i think i could fill up 4 or 5 picture albums. lol.

yeah i'm hoping that since this was my one and only pregnancy (despite me wanting another baby so so so so bad) that the tummy can go back to normal. i did notice today (the first time i'd look at myself without my shirt on in the mirror in at least 2 months) that the tummy is starting to shrink a LITTLE bit. so i'm going to stay optimistic about it and keep on working out and figure out new things to add into the jogging and stair stepper.

how old is everyone's little guys/gals?

It's great that you are enjoying all these special moments and appreciating this time when they are so young but growing up so fast!  I wish I had written things down more (or I need to get them down now), because I feel like I'm starting to forget some of the cute little things my kiddos have done.  Seems like in a blink of an eye they went from babies to kids!

As for the stretchmarks...you are young so hopefully that should work to your advantage.  I was older with my twin pregancy (32) and it was my second pregnancy as well, which in my case has meant the skin was stretched beyond repair!  The marks have faded a bunch, but the elasticity is gone.  I don't think bikinis are ever in my future again-lol.  All part of the journey of motherhood I guess :)

i would do a tummy tuck but.....i was told that since my tummy isn't super stretched that as i work out the skin will i guess go back to normal. and that's what i'm hoping happens.

it is fascinating watching them every day. it's like they learn something new everyday. their newest achievement is throwing EVERYTHING out of their cribs. *sigh* proud of them that they can throw but man oh man....what a MESS in the morning!!! have to put everything back, put the mobiles back together, which i still haven't figured out how they tear those apart yet....lol.

My daughter will be 2 next month and watching her grow and learn is just fascinating.  It is really amazing how fast it goes!  But so much fun!  Enjoy each moment of it!

Please take it from a woman of 55, the stretch marks only fade to white, but they are always there.  Think of your stretch marks as a monument of sorts to you carrying life within you.  Be proud of them.  You gave life.

Since the skin stretches from the inside out, there is really nothing that can prevent the "tears."  But they will fade to white lines as you age.

I think the only cure for total removal of stretch marks is a tummy tuck, which I hope to have sometime soon.  I had a 125 pound weight loss over the past 3 years and my tummy looks like a mud flap off an 18 wheeler.  Time to say good-bye to those days of being overweight, since exercise of any amount will not tighten up the loose skin.

Congrads on your baby pulling up and getting ready to walk.  That's when the real fun and fatigue, begins.....

All the Best,
Heather
