I have just found out I was pregnant. This is my second pregnancy I miscarried my first. I want to do things different and better. I'd like to know what foods I can eat and shouldn't eat as well as liquids. I'm drinking a lot of water and want a healthy baby. Any advice would be nice thank you

There are tons of food that is suggested that you shouldn't eat, like deli meats, certain cheeses, salad dressings, etc. In my 1st trimester, I ate healthy, oatmeal/toast, cream of wheat, salads with TONS of spinach, lots of fruits and veggies, also nuts and trail mix bars. But the 2nd and 3r trimesters I pretty much gave up eating healthy and just stayed with my regular diet (sandwiches, taco bell, mc Donald's) probably wasn't a good choice but hey! I have a healthy baby. Definitely stay away from fish with mercury... Salmon, trout, tilapia, etc. are safe to eat, and are actually suggested because of DHA. Be sure to take your prenatal vitamins also. Drink tons of water, stay away from a lot of caffeine. 1-2 cans of soda-pop is fine if you are a soda drinker or coffee drinker. Definitely no red meats though. Make sure if you order or make a steak or burger that it is cooked well done.

I craved nothing but sweets (chocolate cake, muffins, cupcakes, ice cream, danishes, etc.) and my baby still came out healthy and strong. Just be sure not to over do it.

Congrats on your pregnancy :). It sounds like you are doing a good job of eating healthy.   It can be hard sometimes.  I remember craving big macs.
