My partner is worried about taking the pill/being pregnant

My partner and I had an unfortunate accident, we decided not to wear a condom (which we sometimes do), I know you can get pregnant even when not ejaculating, but we take our chances with that (which I know is silly). I accidentally came inside her today, and she is not happy at all. We believe her last period was approximately around the 23rd of July. I have already ejaculated a number of times in the last 24 hours, so I would hope my sperm isn't at its most fertile. She doesn't want to take the pill (which I respect), she is worried that the pill will do serious damage to her.

So my two questions are: What are the chances of her getting pregnant 9/10 days before her next period? And, how bad are morning after pills for the female reproductive system (as she is very concerned)? it would be nice to hear from medical professionals who may have good insight on this matter.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to read this! I know we sound like irresponsible teenagers, please don't judge, as I just want to understand the questions i've raised :)

Ovulation is 14 days before the next period and the egg is good for only one day. You are safe this time. Beware, a woman’s sex drive is highest at ovulation time and that is when she is most likely to take risks.
