I'm 20.5 weeks and I haven't gained any weight at all. At my first appointment I gained 4 Oz and my appointment I had yesterday I lost 3 oz. I weigh 170 & I'm 5'3.

Sometimes smaller ppl gain much more than the recommended weight gain because of their babies needs. Even still, 27lbs is a bit much for being 20 weeks preggy. I definitely wouldn't stress too much about it, exercise lightly and eat healthy.

I gained 55lbs with my first pregnancy. I was really small to begin with. I only weighed about 115. It was horrible. I had a pretty healthy pregnancy and delivery but I was miserable from all the extra weight I gained. And I never got back anywhere close to 115. :/ This time I'm 25 weeks and gained 16lbs. I've been trying really hard to eat better and drink plenty of water so I don't gain too much this time.

I'm 5'6 and weighed 150 before pregnancy. Though a lot of that was in my legs and boobs, lol I was still considered "over weight". But, I'm 22 weeks pregnant now and I have gained 8 pounds. My doc said that was normal (around average). He also told me that I'll probably gain 1 pound every week, to every other week. So, everyone is different though.

Throughout your whole pregnancy they say its normal to gain 25-35 lbs I think it is I know its up to 35 so if you've already gained that much then yea you might want to just watch what you eat im 36 weeks ive always been thick my whole life and ive gained 31pounds so far just eat light meals DRINK YOUR WATER and watch what you eat
