I have to say, I agree with the other ladies. Is it possible you ovulated late? If so, that could put you at the right time frame. I would demand another U/S before you let them do anything.. Some babies just develop slower than others, and that is okay too. They will generally catch up prior to being full term...I really hope this helps Good luck.....
I'm so sorry to hear that. Although you want to try and keep hopeful I would prepare for the worst. It will only make this more traumatizing by thinking that everything might be okay and then to be let down. There is a 3 week difference and I highly doubt that you could have ovulated that late in your cycle. I would go with what the doctor says and if you feel more comfortable you can ask for another u/s before your D&C. I had a m/c in January at 11 weeks that sadly stopped developing at 9. I also had another at 5 weeks along in March. If there is no heartbeat at 8 weeks than that would definitely be something that a doctor would be concerned about. I hope your holding up ok. Good luck hun.
I think you should insist on a repeat ultrasound in a week or two. It's very possible that you ovulated or implanted later than expected based on your last period. If it were me in your shoes I would refuse a d & c until they performed a 2nd ultrasound to make sure there were no new developments.
Im scared this is going to happen to me. My GP wont send me for a scan untill im 12 weeks because apprently they wont do it before.. Even though they did for my sister in law. My Midwife said its rare for this to happen though. I am sorry you are going through this. I'd ask for another U/s before they do a D&C ( If one is needed)...
Good luck, and again I'm So Sorry

hate DR like that, maybe you ovulated late, dont let them do a D/C before getting a follow up ultrasound in about 2 weeks, and i would advise you to go to another DR that actually cares.
in my first ultrasound i was supposed to be 8 weeks from LMP and i was actually 6 weeks because i ovulated late.
I am really sorry the same thing happen to me about three years ago, but I was a little further along. My advise would be to ask for another ultrasound before they do the D&C that way you can be absolutely sure that your pregnancy as not progressed. Like Heather said is there any way your dates could be off??
Again I am really sorry.
Sorry you are going through this =( Is there any way you maybe ovulated later than you think? If so that would set you back a couple of weeks and you wouldn't see anything on an ultrasound at 5 weeks pregnant. I would make sure you get another ultrasound before the d&c just to be sure. That is if you don't naturally miscarry before the d&c.
