22w3d pregnant and severe coughing and sore throat?? help

Ok. So I have been coughing for over a week. Its a dry cough but yesterday I noticed my throat started hurting and when I looked in my throat there were white spots on my tonsils. I instantly started assuming I am getting strep. But none of my symptoms are the same as when I had strep before. Well last night I slept thru the night without waking up coughing but noticed myself waking up to me gasping to get air.. I woke up with no voice today. Last night I went to bed with a crazy migraine. But I haven't run much of a fever. Other than low grade.. I feel this tightness in my chest..my cough is dry tho.. anyone else experiencing this? When should I see doctor?

I feel horrible. And my chest is killing me. I know my little one is tired of me coughing so much. I about took a trip to er last night cause my head hurt so bad but tried to lay down and sleep it out. It worked for a little while and came right back this morning. What do they do for tonsilitis if you're pregnant. I'm high risk so my dr never wants to give me anything unless its absolutely necessary.. I haven't been sick but I feel so dehydrated.. on top of 2 of my kids with viral infections..ear infections nd sinus infections and then my little boy has a viral infection and vomitting. So I know it could be a mix of things... I guess a trip to the er tonight is in store for me..

Sounds more like tonsillitis. My daughter gets it all the time and your symptoms are the same as hers, her tonsils always have white spots on, she gets a horrible dry cough and bad headaches!

You have strep you need to see a doc ASAP it won't go away on its own which is why you're getting worse. I have had strep about 8 million times and the symptoms aren't always exactly the same every time. Make an appointment soon you don't want it turning into pnuemonia
