Yes it's normal to spot and cramp after.
Only time will tell. Effaced means thinned. With my boy @ 38 weeks 1 day i had an appt. I was 2cm & 90% effaced & i had him 2 days later. And my sister just recently was 1 cm dialed 100% effaced @39 weeks. She had her girl @ 41 weeks. Good luck!!
