2nd opinion regarding treatment

my sister is 17yrs old and 37 weeks pregnant...she had a mini stroke 2 days ago..baby is fine at this point
and the neurologist on duty told us the best course of action is for her to take a blood thinner injection daily and hopefully the baby wouldn't come before the medicine had time to do its job. She is already dialated to 2...
Would it be better to take the baby now? is this the best course of action? what are the chances of another
stroke during labor?

Im not sure, it all depends on how everything falls together...like you said if the blood thinner has had time to take effect... the Drs would have a better idea for what course of action to take...as anyone on here trying to give you advice really cant say much as we cant do a propper assessment of her...

the fact that she is in hospital and has proffesionals looking after her is a good thing... and same here, praying for a speedy recovery and safe delivery!

By 37 weeks a baby is mostly developed and is safe to come from now until 42 weeks.
Do they know what her stroke is from? Do they think it's a blood clot or something? That is quite scary. It's hard to say if labour will give her another one.
I hope she doesn't get any long term effects from it and I hope her baby and delivery will go well.

Mm I'm not sure, however I'm praying for her n baby!
