34weeks really bad back pain could that be contractions

As the other ladies mentioned, it could be back labor. Labor, even in the back, will typically come and go in regular intervals. It will also increase in intensity as time goes on. If you take a warm bath, and it seems to get better- it's probably not labor.
Yes it can be... I had back labor w/ my first and contractions started around 32weeks for me
