37 weeks ftm and baby is small

I just had my last ultrasound the other day and my son is considered to be in the 25th growth percentile around 5.5lbs. The doctor said it isn't a concern because he isn't in the 10th percentile but I am still concerned. I've gained a total of 13lbs the entire pregnancy so far. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there anything I can do? Should I be concerned?

I'm 35 weeks and my baby is in the 21 percentile.
The doctor is not concerned so it's probably fine.
I've gained around 30 lbs!
You can help increase your baby's weight by eating more often and mostly laydown on your side. Not your back!
This would increase the blood supply to the baby thus increasing nutrition going to the baby.
Good luck!

The only time it becomes a concern is if they're under 10th percentile and suspected to be below 2500grams at birth. Under that weight they have to be taken to SCBU because they have issues maintaining body heat etc etc. I've had small for dates babies and IUGR babies. Some people just have small babies but it can be a sign of something

I'm also 37 weeks n had a growth scan today n she said my Babygirl was 5 lbs.13oz and in the 16th percentile. And I have only gained the 10lbs that I lost in the first few months. I was worried at first but she reminded me that was an estimate n not 100%. N that she was 3oz away from 6lbs.

If your doctor says that it's not something to be concerned about than your baby should be fine. There's lots of women who deliver small babies.
