38 weeks and 6 days...GAS???

Is it just me, or is it normal to experience gas?  I take Tums for just about everything from stomach ache, to heartburn, but I'm scared to take Gas-X. I drink a lot of milk and water and I didn't think I ate anything that would actually give me gas... or is it just a normal part of pregnancy?

Lol yeah I was hoping it was contractions cuz when a BH hits and my belly gets all tight that pressure from the gas is the most uncomfortable thing ever! Lol sleeping always made it feel better too that's how I could tell it was gas for me. Lol like I said if its anything that your gut says isn't right and is more than gas call your dr. And if even mention it at your next visit and see if maybe they can give you any better advice. Good luck!!

Oh, I guess I can't say this S U C K S... lol... Yeah, gas-x worked for me before I was pregnant so maybe it will work now too.. I don't know.. I did decrease it with TUMS last night though, So if I get that feeling in my chest again maybe I will just take Gas-X.  Thanks

I'm 40+1 and been having cramps that wrap around me for a few days on and off and every single time I convince myself they're contractions, poof! It's gas! Haha no pun intended! I've had more gas this pregnancy than my first and definitely more than when I'm not so I'd say its normal during pregnancy. Could also be how your body breaks down foods now that you're pregnant.
