Hi!
If you were my patient, I would be concerned. I would recommend modified bedrest ( meaning rest as much as you can ) and pelvic rest meaning no intercourse/tampons or douching. I would also recommend prayer, or whatever gets you through tough spots.
If you start looking at the data on the net, a low heart rate appears to be a very bad prognostic indicator. In my personal experience however, MOST of the babies with a low heart rate VERY early on do well. Also, most babies with a subchorionic hemorrhage ( a sort of "bruise" between the sac and the uterine wall ) do well.
I would ask you to call me with any new bleeding --bright red is a sign of new blood--dark blood is just old blood draining. And, I would probably re-ultrasound in a few days to a week or so.
I hope everything goes well!
Good luck!

I was diagnosed with a subchorionic bleed at my 6wk appt.
I started spotting bright red blood during my 5th week. I spotted bright red blood daily. It was only when I went to the bathroom though. It finally ended last week. Dr diagnosed me with the bleed. Had my 1st u/s on 12-22 and said the baby was doing fine. I was then 6w6d.
Had another u/s yesterday to check up on me.. said baby was doing great.. strong hb.. we even saw the baby moving around! S/he was actually pretty active. u/s said I was 8w3d, instead of the 8w5 days I should of been from the last u/s. My next appt is Feb. 4th..Then I'll be able to hear the hb.
I can't wait till I hit 13 weeks! Good luck!
