5 weeks pregnant and having pain in lower right of my abdomen

I am pregnant with 5 weeks now and having on and off pain in the lower right area of my abdomen. Not sure if it's normal and should I be worried. Didn't have any discharge yet, no bleeding and no spotting either. Would appreciate if you could please share your experiences or knowledge on this situation.

Going for an ultrasound today to find out if it's ectopic or cyst or something else.

I have cramping in my lower abdomen too.  It was more often between 4-6 weeks along.  I'm a little over 7 wks now & its easing up.  Everyone here tells me its normal.  try not to worry.

That is for cramps.  intense pain?  you should see a doctor asap.

I'm five weeks pregnant as well and I've been having the same pain on my lower right side. My doc was afraid it was an eptopic as well so they did some blood work to check my hcg levels and they also did an ultrasound. They found the gestational sack and that's it. There was no cyst or eptopic everything looked great. I'm guessing it was just gas or my uterus growing. I don't want you to worry but when they do the ultrasound it may be to early to see anything. They may see a gestational sack but thats about it. Your baby wont have a heart beat untill six weeks or so. I hope all goes well. And if they see nothing on the ultrasound (which is very possible) ask them to check your hcg levels and if they double like they are supposed to you probably have nothing to worry about.
