I dont know if all of you follow the election but I was just curious who was voting for who... I myself am a democrat and will be voting for Barack Obama! He has a lot of good ideas! How about you guys?

You know, I just really want to add something here. . .

I found this board back in February when my husband and I decided we wanted to TTC.  We haven't been able to get pregnant, and it's been really emotionally and physically (not to mention financially) draining.  I was so happy I found this community on here.  But for the past couple of months especially, NOTHING I've asked as been answered.  This is the first place I come for support, and I've gotten NONE.  Instead, people spend all day writing books about their political views (which I still believe everyone should quit pointing their fingers and take some responsibility) or they are spending all day answering daily posts about what you did during the weekend, what you want to eat for lunch, what's up Wednesday, etc, etc, etc. . . I think it's great that people want to build a community, but I'm sick of questions not getting answered because of it.

I've met so many great and helpful people on this message board, one in particular, but again, the purpose I'm on here for is advice in TTC and emotional support in dealing with infertility.  And I'm sorry, but that support some reason ended a while ago.  So, I guess for me, there is just no reason to be on here anymore.

Good luck to all!  I sincerely hope all of your conception dreams come true. :-D

And Griggsy - I still think you need to waste your time arguing with yourself and putting words in other people's mouths. ;-)

Oh, and My RE is from Canada and has made some breakthrough discoveries with some treatments.  I hope they work!

Okay, who are you arguing with?  I certainly didn't say anything contrary to your above statements.  I said, and I repeat. . .

WAR IS EXPENSIVE.  WAR HURTS ECONOMIES.  I didn't once say that we should pull out, quit funding it, or any of the other BS that has come out of your mouth.  That's all I'm saying.

Ladies...

Let's be civil.. We all have our opinions and different research "engines"  and "resources" and have come to our own decision in a personal manner..

As I stated above, I kept my posts BRIEF and non descript b/c I saw the potential of what could (and has) become..

I think we all agree we are ready for a change! So, let's just support our right to vote and state which candidate we are backing without all the nastiness??! =)

Just an idea. I think this board is fabulous and I think all of YOU ladies are great! I STRONGLY disagree with MANY of the posts but have personally decided to just ignore it and agree to disagree.. (and not belittle or argue)

This is a very important topic that concerns us ALL so let's try and keep it a friendly debate?

It's funny.. I had mentioned politics (and religion, actually) as a topic to one of my Medhelp buddies a few weeks ago and we both decided it would be message board 'suicide' to start one so we didn't!!   =)  It's just ironic, that is why I mention, not intended to be an insult on who started this topic ( I honestly dont even remember who it was and am soooo not scrolling up to find out!)   ; )

I am not pointing fingers or blaming anyone, I just think we should avoid this topic any further unless we can ALL be nice and respectful, just some food for thought~

The American people are making all of those things, not other nations.

The best part is that you don't seem to care what the world is doing. If the world is in war so is the US. If the American people would actually support the troops, the economy would follow. History repeats itself. . . the last war the people didn't support was Veitnam, and after that ended we had a massive ressission and inflation in the 70's.

Stick your head in the sand and pretent that nothing can hurt you.

Oh by the way if you move to Canada or Norway, and God forbid you get a liver disease, or cancer try getting into a doctor in a timely manner. They may have a plan that works, but a 2 years waiting list to get a pace maker seems ridiculaus to me.

When was the last time a Canadian docotr made world news with break thorugh procedures? Not in long time because they don't get paid enough to care.

Do you enjoy the public schools? (Goverment ran institution) Under paid teachers, not enough money for books, low test scores. . . .and you want to give our health care to the government?

Privitzed insitutions work. Our college systems are the best in the world, and the government has nothing to do with them. . . . again why do you want to give the single most important thing to our government?

But hey I'm crazy because I read, research, read more, don't live life the way CNN tell me to, and I make my own choices based off of actual fact.

This will be my last post to you, because honestly, I think you are crazy.  

I simply said that a war (an expensive one not to mention) hurts an economy because of the mere expense of it.  And you just wrote a book, and I quote, "but again you're right, war doesn't help anything."  

WOW!  I wasn't talking about whether or not war helps or doesn't help, or funding for the war, etc, etc, etc. . . I was simply saying an expensive war will inevitably hurt an economy.  

Read your responses crazy woman, and stick to the issue at hand.  Don't talk around things. . . It's annoying.  And don't read into what people say, and make more out of it than is really there.

I've so wasted way too much time responding to you for one day.  I'm out.
