Acne

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and have always had bad skin aka oily and in need of dermatology intervention. I was on clindamicine(sorry about the spellings!) And tretinoin but they are no longer safe to use and I haven't been in touch with my dermatologist since I found out I was pregnant does anyone know of anything safe and effective to use on my face, it's breaking out awful and caking on make up isnt making things better. Thanks!

I used seaberry oil from fresh. Even though it's an oil it helped my oily/ breakout prone skin sooo much I would definitely recommend it

I also had really bad acne. I bought Alba Botanica good and clean facial scrub and it works great. Its all natural so you have no chance of hurting baby :) I bought it at Target.

Its really best to keep things simple so you dont further aggravate the skin. This is what wirks wonders for my skin and i swear by it. Use an antibacterial soap to wash your face with hot water. Take some Witch Hazel water after, and dab it all over your face. Let it air dry and leave it alone. Do this twice a day. Witch hazel water is a natural astringent(think i spelled right lol) anyways its at walmart for less than $3 a bottle. Its in the pharmacy isle. Same stuff they soak those tucks pads in for hemmorhoids. Take care.

I broke out soo bad after being on Accutane and it all clearing up.. came back with a vengeance when I got prego.. I just use antibacterial hand soap to wash with and my clarisonic every night to make sure it's all clean oo and they have these nice washes with charcoal that do a heck of a job drying skin out .. then I moisturize with nutrogena naturals face cream like once a month because seriously don't need the extra moisture.. also I stay far away from any kind of make up ... sorry u got acne but we'll it'll be worth it in the end :)

Yeah, just stay away from retinoids (washes/creams for anti-aging), salicylic acid and soy! You can look up online or ask your doctor the different things to look for in the ingredients!

Well toothpaste always dries up acne for me... But check with your doctor... I believe there was only one face scrub I found that was safe during pregnancy but it was nothing like the prescribed meds. You can't have anything with sacylic acid in it which is what usually dries up the acne.
