Am I about to miscarry?

Hi there, I'm five and a half weeks pregnant. My HCG level was 2300 last Friday. Yesterday (3 days later) it was 8012. I had some funny thumping feelings - ike a spasm - in my lower abdomen this evening, so I went into my local emergency department to get it checked out - just to be on the safe side. They said everything seemed fine. Yet they gave me an HCG reading of just 9300. Considering that my HCG level should double every 72 hours does this mean I am about to miscarry - or is there still hope?

Once they get that hight they tend to double at a slower rate!! :) There's definitely hope!

There's definetly hope!! In fact its great that your numbers are going up!! Sometimes they double, but as long as they arent going down, you should be okay. The twinge is probably your uterus growing.. :-) good luck with everything!!!
