Am i having a miscarriage

The first day of my last period was on the 22nd of July 2010.. I did an hpt on the 23rd of August and did one more the next day. Both results were positive. I went to see my doctor and did blood tests which confirmed i was pregnant and hcg was 964. I had cramps and abdominal pain on the 26th of August then on that night i bled, it wasn't heavy but was just like a normal period. I went to the ER and they did a sonar and more bloods. The sonar report said it was an early viable pregnancy or incomplete miscarriage. Hcg went down to 543 that night. I stopped bleeding the next day & started having a brownish discharge and this was only after i wipe.. On the 27th of Aug i had more bloods and hcg was down to 485. Today 29 Aug 2010 i visited the doctor and he had a general practitioner standing in for him,, he  said the sonar could only see products of conception and nothing solid but my cervix is still tight. I still have a bit of lower back and abnominal pain, nothing serious but i have not bled since Thursday 26 Aug. Could this be an incomplete miscarriage and has anyone gone through anything like this.  We're still hoping for a miracle. Please tell me if i should just accept that i'm having a miscarriage.. Please help me.

Thanks guys. I am seeing the doctor again on Tuesday and hope to know what is going on exactly...

To be very honest with you, bleeding and falling HCG levels almost certainly indicate that you are having a miscarriage.  It never hurts to hope but you also need to be realistic.

Do you have another followup appointment?

Sound like something my bestfriend went thru she had bleedin from thursday too saturday and she had a micarriage....BUT her CERVIX WERE WIDE OPEN!!!! I hope you don't lose your baby...BEST OF LUCK 2 U!!!!!
