Okay this is hard for me to talk about but i had a still born at 24 weeks pregnant. Your mind plays tricks with you for months i could still feel her moving and had every symptom of being pregnant still. the doctor above me is very right. I know you want to believe in your head that there is some chance in hell that after all this pain. excitement and everything that you wont come out empty handed. You want to think there is another baby... Im sorry sweety there isnt they would have seen it and its all your mind and heart being lost and trying to heal

Hi!
Ultrasounds nowadays are really quite accurate, so I doubt that they would miss an 18 week fetus.  Stranger things than that have happened though, so if you were my patient, I would re-ultrasound to be certain that the uterus was completely empty.
Sometimes it can take awhile before the pregnancy hormone is completely gone from your system, especially if you were far along.  If so, it could be that the hormone whic is still present in your system is causing your symptoms.
I'm sorry you lost your baby! I would be delighted to hear that you were right about the twin, but don't get your hopes up too much!
Good luck!

I know how you feel with my first m/c I still felt pregnant for a while after the baby had passed and wondered the vary same thing. I didnt feel better about it until I had my final blood test that said my hcg levels were down to zero meaning no more baby, the truth is the hcg wearing off can take time and thus still give you all the same simptoms for a while but any thing is still possible and no amount of advice will fully satisfy you until you get your levels checked or another u/s. It's better to seek out the truth with your doctor then to stress and ponder. I know that twins can be born months apart if they have seperate sacs and if they were on top of eachother that may have been why they couldnt be seen, like I said it's better to get your levels checked or get an u/s. Hope this helps.
