Antibiotics ?!
My anxiety is way too high to start taking these antibiotics! "Not recommended for pregnant women unless benefits outweigh the risks" is not good enough for me! The doctor asked if I was on birth control when I went in (ER) -.- , im 28 weeks & seriously do not want anything risking my babies health :( the pills are Apo-Cephalex 500mg. My ingrown toenail keeps getting worse as Im unable to clean it on a regular basis or let it breathe at all. It bleeds & pusses & leaks all day. It hurts! Someone help!
Also they ask if you are on birth control because antibiotics decrease the effectiveness of oral contraceptives and therefore a second method of birth control is necessary while taking them.
Most antibiotics are safe to take during pregnancy, and that is one of them. The risk of am active infection is much worse. Take the antibiotics.
You should not put peroxide on an open wound, contrary to popular belief. It causes tissue damage.
