Any advise on how to get rid of acne

Does anyone know how to get rid of acne during pregnancy? Im 18 weeks and my face is breaking out! I cant seem to get rid of it is there anything I can do? please any advise will help I just want to get rid of it.

I'm having a boy and my face is totally broken out. I'm glad I'm not working anymore because as a Skin Thereapist it was hard givng people facials and talking about the products with my own face totally broken out. Dermalogica's Anit-bac masque seems to work great as a spot treatment (found that out after i left and took an old bottle with me) but it's discontinued and i'm not sure what the new acne masque is like

Funny i thought it was if you're having a boy then you break out more because there is more testosterone in your system which causes acne

I'm having a boy and it has done its toll on my skin...and a lady I work with got the WORST acne and she had a boy too....

Hey I found out that I am having a girl, so there could be somthing to that old tale! Hmmm?????

Thank you all sooo much, I have a son and when i was pregnant with him i didnt have this problem with him. Im hoping that it is a girl, lol I will find out Dec. 2nd what we are having! I will try the clearasil and the pillow thing. LOL Thank you again it is driving me crazy! I feel like im dont have that glow that pregnant women should bc of this but yes, i do know that it will be all worth it in the end and I cant wait!! good luck to all of you!

I was told the only thing you can use is a product with benzoyle peroxide...clearasil vanishing cream has that as the active ingredient.  It is what I have been using.  The acne is driving me crazy too!

I myself have BAD acne, i started to get it around i would say week 14 or so. And i have tried everything, i wash my face make sure that it is oil free but nothing help. I not only have it on my face it has made its way down to my chest, and never in my life (i was an acne kid) have i had it on my face. And yes i am having a beautiful baby girl. I guess what kiki says is true. But i know and im praying that after baby that it will go away cause before i was pregnant i had beautiful flawless skin that i had worked years on keeping up. But like i tell my hubby, just being able to see her beautiful face and know that we created her is worth anything that i have been through. The vomiting, the back pain, the acne, its ALL worth it in the end. I hope that made sense...it did to me but im in a weird mood today.

So this stands how it did with my previous pregnancies...I am having a girl, and now and with my daughter I have it, with my son I was glowing with beautiful skin!  But I've been making sure I clean my face 3 times a day, morning noonish and before bed.  I then use clearasil vanishing acne cream.  It works good!  

I have noticed, that the oil from my face gets on my pillow case and if I don't wash it twice a week, I break out more.  So try washing or changing your pillow case more, and flip your pillow maybe.  I have way through the week after I have used both sides for two nights each, just throw a towel over my pillow and sleep on it.  And try to keep your hair out of your face, and make sure you don't touch it with dirty hands.  It'll help some!

PS.. Are you having a girl? I have heard (probly a wives tale) that girls will give you a bad complexion? IDK I have boys, and I never had this problem with them, I was much younger then but you wouldn't think that had anything to do with it???

OH girl I am with you! I am 16 weeks and it came back! I had it early but it went away about a month ago, well then it came back with a vengance! I have NEVER had acne! I am 30 yrs old for goodness sakes!! I swear I had like 9 pimples at one time on my face, I hope you get an answer cause I want one too!
