I would love to try all natural with my second but i had the epidural with the first. My epidural (how its supposed to be) was only numbing my contraction pain... i could still feel pressure every contraction so i felt the need to push just as if you didnt have it! I felt all the pushing and the pain down there! It wasnt too bad since the contracton pain was at least numbed (: my doctor told me epidurals are supposed to still allow you to feel pushing, otherwise labor is slow!

I had 18 hours of natural labor and it was honestly the worst pain of my life, but it was worth it. I was walking the halls until 7 and half centimeters though, and after my water broke the pain got much worse. I kept my breaths controlled and I looked into my boyfriend's eyes the entire time I had a contraction and really just focused on him. He was an amazing coach so that helped tremendously. I only pushed for 20 minutes, but MAKE SURE you hold your breath during a push and go back to go trolled breathing in between. Make sure you have a supportive person there with you, someone who will keep you focused. I was walking within an hour after birth and I had a speedy recovery. I was coherent the entire time which was amazing because I remember everything so clearly. It was an incredible experience and I would do it all over again if I could.

Plus the screaming puts alot of stress on baby. Go with the epidural.

I know your asking for input from those who went all natural the whole way but I had an epidural at 4cm so. For the. Most part I did feel contractions and mine got bad (I wanted an unmedicated birth)  but couldn't handle it by 4cm so I ended up getting an epi &  it wore off 2 hours before I started pushing.  I felt everything.  It was very painful for me to the point I was yelling and burning up badly.  I pushed for 30 minutes,  for as short as it sounds it wasn't that hard to push.  In the end I'm glad my epidural wore off.  Feeling everything was a great experience.  It does hurt,  but everyone. Makes it out to be so Unimaginable but that's because everyone is Different!  If you plan on doing natural I say go for It! Labor was the worst besides pushing!

I didn't get an epidural because I wanted a natural birth but then I eventually had to ask them for something for the pain. I don't remember what it was called but it made me sleep in-between my contractions so I would keep waking up when I felt them and when the medication was wearing off. I had probably needed it 3 times in my IV but it wore off when the doctor sat down and I had to start pushing. All the pain really does go away when the baby is out :)

I would never go natural lol I mean good for who ever accomplished that but I don't believe that a baby ripping thru your vagina is tolerable pain. I know we are built to do it , but I personally rather do epidural. Maybe I just have low tolerance for pain,  good luck! Healthy baby is all that matter at the end and I think you'll know what you could handle when the time comes

I'm going to be doing a water birth this time around and it does ease the pain. I wanted a water birth for my first baby but wasn't able to unfortunately. It hurts....a lot. So have great support systems in place.

i just barely had my baby and i had him natural... i came in already 6-7 dilated, i was handling he contractions really good so i just did it natural since i was almost there... to be honest, for me it didn't really hurt that bad.... i was positive the whole time, motivated and i focus on my breathing whenever i had  a contraction.... the advice i can give you is just be positive, don't be scared....  whenever u get the pain, think of it as " good pain" . put some calm music on... have someone in there that ca coach you and tell you ur doing good...think of it as a workout lol . i thought of it like that.... and at the end u feel good. like u accomplished... sometimes it takes awhile to push.. it took me 2 hours and other people it just takes 2 pushes.... thats the only part that hurt when baby comes out & after u feel no more pain :) u can do it!!

I had my son naturally and will have my daughter naturally too. The pain helps you push. Because you feel the need to push!! The contractions are worse than the pushing just because the pushing is such a short time if you go without epidural. And the contractions go on for and long time. But it is so worth it. :) you do get to a stage when you say omg I can't do this, but then you have about 10 mins left and baby is here. Haha. Goodluck!

I have given natural birth 2xs trust it's not that bad... The contractions do hurt but at least you can feel yourself push and know when to push because the baby will start coming out the pain is the only bad part but it's not as bad as everyone say it is... It's just major cramps that comes really fast... Try it out if you can't handle it do a water birth it's still natural... The hot water will ease some of the pain for you I heard... That's what I'm going to try this pregnancy

I went all natural when I gave birth to my son on wednesday. It wasnt by choice but in the end, im glad things went the way that they did. The only advice that I can give you is to make sure that you drink plenty of water. It'll help so much with the process as far as how long you will have to push. Also, breathe through your contractions (try to stay as calm as possible) and trust your body. When its time, you WILL know. Congrats girl!
