Anyone else getting 'let down' feelings in their breasts?

I'm 26 weeks and for the last 3 weeks or so I've been getting tingling rushing sensations in my breasts, very much similar to the 'let down' feeling one has when nursing. Has anyone else experienced this during pregnancy? With my previous pregnancy I wouldn't have noticed it as I hadn't ever nursed a baby before and wouldn't have been familiar with the sensation.

I find it interesting that I am getting this, which could just be totally normal BUT I am wondering if it is due to high levels of oxytocin in my system? This is of particular relevance to me as I have been having daily, strong and even painful contractions since about week 20 and I know there is a causal relationship between oxytocin and uterine contractions....

I am having a lot of braxton hicks, but no pain and they aren't regular.  I actually notice them more in the evening when I'm resting.  I know they tell you that if you have more than 4 in an hour that you should call or come in, but even though I am I don't really feel like they are doing anything.  I would worry if I was spotting or loosing my mucus plug but I'm not having anything like that.  What about you?

I'm also having a second u/s tomorrow they couldn't see the whole spine last time so they just want to double check...(pretty sure the company is just trying to get more money from my insurance company).  So they should be able to tell me if I'm dilating or shortening.

thanks for sharing that you are also getting these feelings. i also don't leak, but i've been wondering what is going on! i wonder if some women are just more sensitive to oxytocin than others?

thanks -- we also hope that things will settle down. it's been pretty worrisome at times.

are you also having regular braxton hicks or are yours occasional?

I have also had the let down feeling in this pregnancy...I though it was a little weird.  I don't remember it with either of my other two pregnancies.  I'll get it every now and then and now that you have mentioned it, I do get it more after I've had a couple of braxton hicks.

Your are right I looked it up and it is oxytocin that leads to the let down feeling and as we know oxytocin is what brings on contractions...It's strange though even though I have the let down feeling...I'm not actually leaking.

Hope it settles down for you and you get some relief that baby needs to stay put longer, good luck.
