Baby to get list

I have no idea what I should be getting for the baby. Ladies please help because I'm so lost and confused. There are so many things in the baby market and I have no idea which to get. What does a baby require. So far my list is
Diapers
Clothes
Blankets
Wipes
Booties
Car seat
Stroller
Some type of baby bed which type i have no clue
I'm kinda on a budget and I'm not having a baby shower so I'll be getting everything myself. Where can i get good quality baby stuff at a fair price. I'm located in Chicago and I'm also willing to shop online too. I'm also open to any and all free samples. Please help ladies.

You don't really need to wait you can start now. Especially if you're doing it all by yourself, that way you can space the bills out (: only get necessities, baby stuff is so expensive and alot if it you really don't need. Though I forgot to mention a baby first aid kit, that's important

Thanks ladies I haven't thought about going to a kids resale store or garage sales but I'm definitely going to look for some now. I haven't started getting anything yet because I'm only six months and people say that i should wait until I'm 8 months to start purchasing things but I'm really starting to feel the pressure lol because it time is moving so fast. I really want to start getting stuff now.

I go to garage sales every weekend and am on email lists for secondhand shops for when they have sales. I've gotten almost everything for extremely cheap

Try garage sales. I'm on a budget too. I got my changing table for 20$. A stroller for like 30 and other great deals. Also resale shops. Even Kmart. I'm in the Chicago area too

As far as baby bed goes, get a decent play pen. Lots of them have stations you can pop in and out for changing and sleeping. You might have to get a pricier one in the $200 range, but itll be worth it if it's a bed, changing table, and play pen all wrapped in one.

As far as other things to get, make sure you get
Lotion
Shampoo
Some kind of ointment (we use aquafor)
If you're planning to breastfeed get a manual pump they're the cheapest
Some bottles
A good binki (in case they like it)
& a nursing pillow

I agree with above, try to go to a consignment shop and see what you can get, most of them are really good about cleaning stuff. I got my boppy nursing pillow there for half the price as the retail store and it was in perfect condition.

If ur interested, try a kids resale store. A lot of them have things for great bargain and are lightly used. I got a nice swing set for only $20.
