Baby's Abdomen is measuring small?

I am 34 weeks. I had a growth ultrasound done at my appointment today. The ultrasound showed that everything was measuring 34 weeks except my baby's abdomen which is measuring 32 weeks. Doc says she weighs 4 pounds and 13 ounces which is in the 30th percentile but her abdomrn is only in the 7th percentile. She scheduled me for another growth us at my next appointment and said that if it's still measuring small she is going to start monitoring me more closely. I am a nervous wreck now. Has anyone else experienced this? What does it mean? My doc just kind of left me hanging with no reassurance :(

I had a growth scan at 35 weeks with my last, her height was near average but her abdomen measurement was lower from memory. Shes now a healthy 15 month old, and was only 6lb 10 1/2oz to push out! Are either you or your partner small? They said it was probably due in part to my husband being Asian and all those genetics but I had a friend with a similar thing and she was only small as well.

That's good to know! I am still hoping there is some progress at my next appointment.

Yes, my partner and I are both small. My son was only 5 pounds and 15 ounces when he was born at 38 weeks so maybe his sister is just small as well.. Thank you for your reassurance.
