Baby's weight at 36 weeks

I'm 36 weeks today and went to the doctor he said she's weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces last week  on Thursday she was 6 pounds 5 ounces. My doctor is kinda old he's been using the same machine ot takes vhs so yea its kinda old too and doing this for a while he's probably in his 60s. He said he's machine hasn't been off more than a half pound and now that she's measuring big he said he will check me next week on Tuesday and do another ultrasound. He's talking if she keeps gaining he might take her early than 40 weeks so she doesn't get to big to deliver . One of my friends waited till 40 weeks 2 days and got induced hers was 9 pounds 6 ounces and she ended up having to have a emergency c section his head couldn't fit through her vagina. So has anyone else had this happen you think she will keep gaining or slow up? I gained 2 pounds in a week :(

36 weeks and almost 7 lbs isnt much! I delivered my first about 3 weeks early at 7 lbs 8 oz..and at my 32 week check up with this pregnancy i was told baby was almost 6 lbs. So im expecting a 9 lb baby. My mom delivered big babies as well! She had twins who were 6 and 7 lbs. I was 9 lbs 14 my oldest brother was almost 11 lbs. And the only csection she had was with the twins because one was breech. It is totally possible to deliver a big baby naturally!

Honestly, it doesn't matter what machine he uses, it's not 100% accurate, even if he says every person it's only been 1/2 a pound off. It's like trying to weigh a human in a swimming pool, it's very inaccurate and difficult. Our bodies are built to deliver babies, big or small.. I have a friend that was full term, 5' and delivered a 10lb baby naturally. Inducing causing an unneccessary risk for c-section, as well, I'd just wait and see how much she's measuring at your next appt. and go from there, good luck!!
