That is so precious!!!!!!!! I cant really think of anything my hubby has said...........
Thats cute. I always get "Baby wants , baby gets". from my DH. either that or when it's something he really doesn't want to do I hear "i'm doing this for the baby not because you asked me to." he does alot of sweet things though. Its not always he says but what he does.
That's awesome! And thanks I think he's great! I'm just hoping to have some fun with this. Some other things he says is ” Eli don't take an example from me right now” and ”I have to get all my sarcasm out right now.” Because my dh is very sarcastic and says some rude things that I'll take from him but. . . Probably not our children.
That is so cute!!!
Hmm...let me see I really can't think of anything beside he tells me I'm "hot" everyday lol
Have fun with the sarcasm...DH and I are both very sarcastic and some of the things that come out of our girls mouths....we can't blame them it's all our fault. We have a very sarcastic 2 and 5 year old....fun, fun! DH doesn't say anything funny...just touches my belly a lot and asks how I'm doing then asks how his baby is doing, it's sweet :-)
Do have a kinda funny story though...so we were talking because this is our third girl and I was just thinking about doing 3 sets of hair...well 4 if you include mine. Our 5 year old's hair is down to her behind and our 2 almost 3 year old's hair is getting down past her shoulder blades. Well DH and I agreed we like long hair on the girls and don't want to cut it. So one morning when I was doing the girls hair I told him he needs to start learning too just in case...he didn't seem interested. So I asked him what he would do if something happened to me? Without missing a beat he says "Ehh, whatever my new wife wants" You could see the smirk on his face when he said it waiting for my reaction. I threw the brush at his head, lol. But he was expecting it so no damage done lol.
Lol! I literally laughed! That is hilarious! I think it takes a lot of love to have a sarcastic relationship like that. Those are exactly the same types of things my hubbie says.
My hubby has been SO wonderful through my pregnancy. I'm 23 weeks now and he is so helpful. He let's me rest, helps out so much with our 3 year old little girl, is always asking if I need anything and will run to the store to get me whatever I want/need. He comes home from work with my favorite snacks and surprises me all the time. He rubs my back and my feet and even helps with rubbing the belly butter on my tummy (Palmer's Belly Butter for stretch marks works wonders! This is my 2nd pregnancy and I've used it both times and don't have the first stretch mark) He always makes it a point to tell me how beautiful I am even when I'm in my sweats lol! Its so sweet when loves on my belly and talks to the baby:) I'm so very thankful to have such a great hubby, I truly feel like the luckiest girl ever, and so blessed.
Btw, like I said we already have a beautiful 3 year old little girl and this baby is a boy:) We wanted a boy but would have been happy either way. I can tell hubby is super excited to be having a son. He's so proud.
It's nice when we can have fun and pick on each other like that...he has never said anything mean to me just gives me a hard time sometimes. But I have to admit I give it to him right back lol. We really should have curved it before the girls started talking because I know it's going to get them into a lot of trouble when they get older, but too late now :-)
Kendradawn, Yeah my DH likes to help me put lotion on too but it's usually because he's trying to get lucky lol.
It's really nice to see this post...you see so many pregnant women who struggle with there DH or father's of their babies it's nice to know that there are some other really lucky women and babies out there too.
The only even semi cute/funny thing my husband has said is that our bellys get hair on them to keep the baby warm
While grocery shopping, I usually stick to my list. The last 2 times we've went, corn dogs, cinnamon rolls, candy, and other goodies end up in the cart, and I ask daddy where they came from and he says "the baby wants them!" Can't say no to that!
Also, while at our last doc appt (2nd one) the doctor was talking about our next appt and ultrasound, and daddy (in his adorable southern accent) asks "is that the one we get to find out what kind of plumbing this kid has?" I'm from Michigan but now live in North Carolina, so totally not used to the country things the south brings me. Anyways I look down at docs feet and he's wearing cowboy boots, and his response was "exactly! We'll know if its indoor or outdoor!"
That's so cute! I think there's a special place for daddies in a child's heart. These are great stories to tell then when they are here.
My boyfriend told me id still look s exy when im nine months pregnant
it's the times when hubby stands in the doorway of the nursery just staring in, then turns and says 'I'm excited!' that really gets to me <3
My bf was laid off on Friday (last week) so on Monday his best friend (who works Tuesdays-Saturdays) wanted to have some drinks with him to take dome stress off and cheer him up (last time they drank together was Sept). Anyways, my bf is a stepdad to my older two & this is his first biological kid.
He is in bed when I get there and he says "I love u, and I love the baby, and I love darnell & aurora. This is my family and I love it. Wanna know why?" and then he told me a bunch of nice stuff about us all. So cute that he loves everyone! (he gets mushy when he drinks lol).
my husband asked why our baby looked like a black hole on the ultrasound at 5 weeks.... after we left the doctors appointment he said I forgot to ask if its a boy or girl?? he is so niave I love it
I absolutely love this thread. I literally laughed so hard at some posts. Especially the plumbing one!! LoL
My DF has said so many cute things but, the funniest thing he has done (so far) was at dinner tonight. He made spaghetti (my fav way) he then comes in with one of our serving platters full of it. When I saw that, I got up to go in the kitchen and get plates. And on the counter was my sons plate of spaghetti and my DF's. I didn't clue in, grabbed them went back in the dining room and realized that platter, was mine! I laughed my butt off thinking it was a joke. Turned out, no joke intended. I asked him why the huge amount. He said you've barely ate the last 2 days (which sure as heck isn't true) and I don't want my baby to starv. He seems to think I need to eat massive amounts of food. And I'm only 12 weeks so far!
@hisbeauty80- that is hilarious about him asking the gender at 5 weeks! They can be so cute when they're clueless!
I love this thread too! It's nice to acknowledge when our men do/say sweet things.
I caught my husband in the baby's room last night just staring into space. Then he looked at me and said we really need to get that rocking chair in here so I can take naps in here. somehow I have a feeling that when baby naps he is going to be in the rocker watching every little move.
Mine said ' I love this, you can finaly sit on me without bones sticking in my legs ' lol...not sure if that is a good thing or not ;)
When I was pregnant with my first about weeks before my husband quit smoking then the night before they induced me he started back. His sister asked "I thought you quit?" My husband " I did till I found out im going to be a father tomorrow." His sister "so you thought she was just getting fat this whole time?" I wont let him forget that to this day and nether will the rest of the family. Every day someone tells him im pregnant so its not a shock the night before I give birth.
Apparently, o found out today my DH had been going shopping regularly for the baby. Since it's a boy he's been looking at NFL stuff and said he's considering changing the team he cheers for just so he can get Eli some more stuff. Simply my hubbie cheers for an uncommon team here in Utah.
