Birth Control??!!

So I want to get the birth control that gets inserted inside you, is there any mom's that has had it and got anything to say about it because I'm scared to get it but I can't ever remember to take the pill and I heard that the shot makes you gain weight, and everyone knows no mommy wants that after having a baby. And can they do that while your in the hospital right after labor?

I got the Mirena I'm not going to lie it hurts. It felt like I was having contraction. I didn't listen and didn't take my ibuprofen before I went. You are on the bed like you would get a pap done and they insert the tool and they have to open your cervix they also have to measure how far back it is. They put it in and there is some that is left out along with a string. You have yo check the string once a month I cannot reach mine so I'm going to ask my hubby to do it

My sister got that and she had to get it surgically removed because it got pushed farther back when ever she had sex and her cervix started to heal around it. I would think about getting the implanon

With the IUD my doctor let me play with one to get an idea of what I would be putting in myself. Its really flexible and that just push it through your cervix. If it does hurt it will only hurt for a second.and they only part that hangs out is a string so they can remove it if needed for whatever reason. Seemed like the better choice to me cause they don't even offer that merina thing at my office and the shot I've heard is super expensive and it leaves your arm bruised for weeks. Like badly bruised and that you can feel it in your arm. I'm good lol

I talked to my doctor about possibly getting it put in sooner (the IUD is what I'm assuming you're talking about and that's what I'm getting) just out of curiosity and she said the earliest she can insert it if I give birth naturally is three weeks PP because there cervix is what holds it in place and it is still pretty stretched so there's a higher risk of it falling out.

I would try nuva ring. I love it. I also got little to no side effects. I think I got a bad headache the first week it was in but no weight gain or mood changes.

My doctor waits 8 weeks, but I think they usually only have to wait 6(:

They have to wait 6 weeks to insert it, and it's safe for breastfeeding. That's what I'm going to get.
