Birth Plan

When do you give your birth plan to your doctor? And does anyone have advice in how to go about putting one together? Does anyone know of any good sites with like a template? Or what all I should have in my birth plan? Thanks for all the advice

You give it to the hospital when you register, your Dr misses the whole labor and is there for delivery, so the nurses at the hospital are the ones who would need to know

I had all the same questions! I wad just reading up on it. I started writing down whether I wanted paind meds during labor or not. I'm not too sure what to put down...but I would definitely talk to your doctor about the different birthing options you have. I'm a ftm and have no clue what to do. Lol

I never gave a birth plan to my doctor. The doctor really isn't there until your 9cm and for delivery, if your induced, they'll break your water, leave and come back later. The nurses are the ones doing everything during labor. Your supposed to go to your hospital before hand and register, and put whether your wanting an epidural and what not
