My doctor says its important to have a well thought out birth plan in great detail so that when everything goes completely against your plan ( because baby's don't follow any plans ) you have something to scrunch up and angrily thro in the bin to realise the anger of everything going wrong. The only birth plan i believe any woman needs is to have some one who will support you and help you thru what can be the most calm peaceful experience one minute and absolute turmoil the next. Best of luck
Best of luck to you as well with everything!
Awesome (: yes you helped! Thank you!!
Then its not necessary for a midwife :) hope I sort of helped :) best of luck and I hope it all goes well for you :)
Yes. The hospital will call her when i go into labor.
Did you plan on having your dr to deliver your bub?
Just my doctor.. i live with my mom so I'm not alone thru this. My baby's dad lives in Michigan & I moved to Colorado to have my mom's help, because I was living on my own in MI.
I personally would reccommend a midwife. But who has been overlooking your pregnancy this far?
I hope you are right! What about a midwife though? I don't have one.. my mom is right there helping me out thru everything.. do I need a midwife..?
Its good that you are keeping it all in the back of your mind I guess. But hopefully its not something you will have to worry about.
I am 32 weeks. My last 2 appointments my son has been head down.. i am still feeling a lot of his movements in my lower belly, his arms and punches & his little hiccups. And I feel feet in my ribs so good indication he is still head down.. I am just terrified of getting a c-section because I want more than ANYTHING to deliver him vaginally... being that he may be my only child I want to experience it... I would definitely want to know the risks of delivering him breech, vaginally, if that need be the case.. I just want what is best for him..
Who is taking care of your pregnancy? And is delivering your bub? That would be the person you need to inform of your decisions :)
Me too, and I have had surgery on my stomach before due to medical issues and never wanted to experience it EVER AGAIN!! You just have to take what your given and roll with it (thats the way I look at it anyway) it happens but most bubs flip back prior to birth, its only a very small percentage that stay breech. They can be vaginally delivered though, everyone just has to weigh up their own risks. I cannot answer that for you unfortunately, as I am unaware of where you are from etc. Different countries etc have different people and methods to taking care of individual pregnancies. How far are you?
C-section terrifies me.. my son is head down right now.. but I'm worried of him flipping to breech..
but I don't have a midwife.. do I need one... ?
Not really. If you know what you want and you have informed your midwife and your support person theb thats pretty much it. As you said who knows what mood you're going to be in when you're in labour. I have a basic idea of what im in for so im just rolling with it, and my midwife is supporting me in that. And honestly I think its the best way to do it, because you wont be as dissapointed if it doesn't go to plan. My 'plan' is to go all natural vaginal birth no meds etc, in saying that- my baby is IUGR and is sitting breech all of which are looking as though it will lead to a cesarean.
