Has anyone used any type of birth control in life apart from condoms ?? Turned out good/bad and for how long was it for for example implant etc i dont really know much so i would like to hear different stories lol so its easier for me to choose what i wnat as i have birth 6 weeks ago

Pills make me beyond controllably hormonal. But breastfeeding I had few options one being a pill which make me puke within 30 minutes everytime I took it so that obviously wasn't an option. Depo was never going to be considered knew wayto many people in high school that hated it. So my option was the implanon the small rod that goes in the fatty tissue part of the back of your arm. Only thing that hurts about getting this is the lidocaine shot lol its good for up to three years after which you can either take it out ir your doctor can remove old one and immediately place a new one. I had mine just over 2 years. Git it out January 2014 and we were pregnant in March. You can get pregnant right of this bc np. I found it to be very effective we cannot use condoms as they make me break out and get yeast infections etc so that only thing we did for bc for over 2 years. If my husband wasn't getting a vasectomy so I don't have to be on bc for rest of forever at 25 id be going with that again. I also didn't gain any weight with. Just a little hormonal in the beginning until body adjusted. :-)

As a teen I was on the pill and hated it. It made me gain weight and was extremely hormonal.
As an adult after my first was born I had the implanon implant,under my skin in my arm, and I loved it. 3 years of protection no need to remember anything and no periods. Plus unlike an iud it is very rare for it to move and cause issues.plus my husband can't feel it during sex. Which can happen with obviously condoms and iuds.
I will be getting the implant again after I have this son.

You dont gain weight with the pills however they make you really hormonal but nothing that you can not handle

a lot of the  women I work with gained like 20 pounds from the depo shot.

I've taken loestrin27 or something like that, I was crazy, gained maybe five pounds, my skin looked fantastic, I didn't get pregnant on  that pill but I was batshit crazy hormonal...So i started a lower dose bc, it started with an a, I had few side effects, idk why i quit taking it. I have no idea what I'm going to take now, I hate bc I get so crazy.

I use to get depo before i got pregnant and hated it gained soo much weight and i had a period for like 6 months everbody is different I hate birth control and  I do not plan on getting on it ever again i rather bleed once a month but that's just me
