Bleeding during/after sex whilst pregnant?

I am 27 weeks pregnant with my first child. The last two times my partner and I have had sexual intercourse, we have noticed that I have experienced vaginal bleeding. The first time it happened, it was just a small trickle of brown-ish coloured blood, but the second time it happened it was more of a pinky colour, and there was quite a bit of it. I can tell my baby is perfectly fine at the moment as he/she is kicking around as usual, and I have an appointment with my midwife in a few days, so I will obviously get it checked out. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of what may be causing the bleeding, because it has left my partner and myself quite worried. Many thanks x

I saw my midwife today, and she told me that bleeding after sex is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. The gynecologist took a look and said that everything is fine and healthy. :D

I think its normal to spot a little after intercourse while pregnant. I know I did, but it was just little dots....u said it was quite a bit the 2nd time so definately talk to your OB about that.

I had bleeding after intercourse but that was in the first trimester and it was due to a hemotoma (not sure if I spelled that correctly) but I haven't had any since. My advice is to abstain from sex for 3 weeks or so (that's what my doc had me do) and definitely ask your midwife about it. Most likely it is nothing major, your cervix is really sensitive and full of blood during pregnancy and that could be part of the reason.

During pregnancy our cervixs are more sensitive. I actually just had that start happening to me about a week ago and was nervous because it was pink blood and I'm 28 weeks. Called my doctor who said that as long as its spotting and I'm not getting super painful contractions to just relax but that if the spotting lasts for over 24 hours than to come in and get checked out. Turns out it is a super common reason to spot during pregnancy.
