Braxton Hicks.

I think I'm having them already. I'm 29 wks pregnant and my stomach keeps tightening up on me, they're not painful but I am a bit worried since they keep happening. I'm laying in bed, and I just had two in less than 10 minutes. If I try to touch my stomach it hurts. How many braxton hicks is too much? I do try to switch positions while its happening.. Like I'm having one right now. Could this not be baton hicks and just the baby rolling up in a ball?lol I know it sounds dumb, but could it?

They say no more than 6 an hour if you're switching positions or get up and walk around they should stop.

My doctor says no more than 4 in a hour. Drinks lots of water and stay laying down. May call your doctor. Better safe then sorry.

Thanks ladies. Tightening of the stomach is braxton hicks right? This is my first pregnancy so I'm not sure what they feel like.

Yes but if its painful or doesn't go away no matter what you do and are consistent then could possibly be more just keep an eye on it and do drink lots of water dehydration can cause preterm labor

I feel like maybe I'm over thinking of it? They are very constant now, but some part of me thinks its just the baby getting in a ball and the other part of me wants to call my midwife. They're not painful just bothersome and it makes it hard to walk them off or change position.

Better to be safe than sorry though maybe call your midwife and see what she says. I've been cramping for the past couple of days didn't think much of it came to hospital because I thought my water broke turns out those cramps were contractions that were 5 mins apart
