Breast milk

When does your milk start coming in? I'm 22 weeks pregnant and was just curious on when I will notice it coming in.

I'm 22 weeks too & leak colostrum once in awhile, But the milk doesn't come in till baby is born .

^^ exactly. A woman's milk doesn't "come in" it simply changes and increases in supply. U start producing colostrum at 10 weeks pregnant. Once the baby is born your milk is called colostrum for the first two days, then from days 2-5 its called transitional milk and after day 5 you start producing mature milk. Hope this helps. You should try to find a class to take if u plan to breastfeed

You feed colostrum the grist few days your baby is born, but the milk is there. The colostrum is a natural health booster.

Yeah^ and that will look clear...sometimes yellowish and white.  Also sticky! You'll want to wear breast pads once that starts coming in

Your milk won't come in until after birth. You might leak colostrum at some point though. It's what the baby will drink until your milk comes in. But not everyone leaks before birth
