Brown colored dishcharge after cervix exam

I am 36 weeks and 6 days pregnant and I had a cervix exam this past Thursday morning. And I came home and went pee and it was a bright red but has changed to brown. Is this normal? I talked to my doctor yesterday and I was worried about my baby so I need to know I'm not the only one this had happened to
