Can I lose weight?!

I just found out I'm pregnant but I weigh 230 pounds is there any safe way to lose some weight before I'm too far along?

Just eat sensibly and walk but not too much that you hurt yourself :) you not always guaranteed to put weight on during pregnancy either so don't worry about that I'm 35 weeks and since finding out I've lost nearly 2 stone.

Also don't ever leave yourself feeling hungry, but don't eat to the point your are very full. That was the hardest part for me but if your hungry that means your baby is too. And to maintain your weight you don't want to over eat, even if it is veggies and fruits

I wouldn't reccomend losing weight, I would recommend eating a very strict healthy diet and walking everyday for exercise. I was 254 when I first got pregnant and they didn't want me working out too hard because being heavy and exercising make the heart work overtime and that's something you don't want to do because of the baby. I am very strict on eating healthy and walked everyday for 30-45 minutes around the block or something.

That with my morning sickness I actually lost 20 lbs and now I'm 31 weeks and barely back at my pre pregnancy weight. I am high risk because of some other issues, but the high risk specialist was very happy with how I've managed my weight

You can't be on diet during pregnancy, all you can do is to eat healthy food,do some exercise and drink lot of water.
