Can I use this or not while pregnant???

hello ladies......

I am 16wks and 2 days my due date is September 2nd, so I am going to be pregnant all summer!!!  I know I cant go to the tanning bed and I dont think I will be able to handle the heat of sitting out side to tan.... (95*+)
So I was wondering if I could use the sunless tanning sprays??? I am one of the whitest people I have ever seen... except for my cheeks which are kinda pink almost always.... I go to the doctor tomorrow at 2 so I was trying to figure out if it was even worth asking her about......
Thank you all!

Yes, you can use tanner. All brands tan only the layer of skin closest to the surface. It has a chemial that reacts naturally with the skin. No worries. I went through 3 and used it the entire time. Be careful to exfoliate, add a VERY hydrating lotion (Nivea perhaps?) let it absorb completely. Then add a layer of tanner. Clarins, estee lauder and L'oreal offer the most realistic. Be aware that our hormones change and can cause a pigmentation change.
Test a spot first.
Ask your Dr. But alot of Dr. do not know much about cosmetics. He/she may just tell you to try it. My best friend is an ob/gyn and she never knew what I was talking about when I asked her questions about beauty!!! So, funny. They care about what's on the INSIDE. How boring! Just kidding. Good luck rockin' the Faux tan! Bronzer fixes EVERYTHING!

I have heard that while pregnant you can go get a mystic tan at the tanning salon.  You may want to ask your dr about that too.  Let us know your dr says.

hey...  it looks like in your picture that your hair is red, right?  me too...  red hair and pale skin!!!  and i've lived at the freakin beach my whole life!!!

i think everything is worth asking your doc about!  i always ask everything and dh sometimes gets embarassed!  i'm pretty sure that i read that even though some say it may not be advisable to use the sunless tanners, that their hasn't been enough studies on it to say its really harmful or not.  at least that's what i think i remember.  i would just ask!  and i totally know how you feel about being really white and big and wearing shorts!!!!  lol.  my sis is coming home next week and told me she wants us to take my kids to the beach...  yea, that's gonna happen!!!  i suggested the park instead...  you know, where i can wear clothes?!?!?!

i read that you don't think you will make it to your due date in another post...  well i hope you do!!!  sept 2nd is my b-day!!!  :)

I used the Jergens that hopefulmommy was talking about (not when I was pregnant though) and it works pretty well...Lots of people at my work use it too and it looks quite a bit like a real tan.......I'd ask your Dr. though just to be sure...I'm sure it's fine though.

Lol!!! Tell me about it. I dont want to be either. The cool thing about this stuff is it doesnt stain that bad. Just put it on, rub it in really well on your body, then wash your hands immediately after and you wont have to worry about your hands turning orange. Mine never did, and there were a couple times I didnt wash it off too. This stuff is awesome. I have used the one by Loreal too, it gets more shimmer to it, than the Jergens one does, and it smells funny. But its your preference. They both work great.

Thank you I seen it on T.V. and was thinking about trying that......I seen a spray on tanner by neutrogena and thought about trying that one too.... So that I never had to touch it or turn my hands orange.... I want to do something I dont want to be big, hot and white as this background in a pair of shorts!!!!LOL!!

Nobody ever told me not to use them, but I am going to use the Jergens Lotion that works with the pigments in your skin to gradually make you darker. It brings out the natural tones instead of turning you yellow and off colors of brown and tan. I think its called Jergens Natural Glow. Try it and see how you like it. You can get it for lighter sking tones too. Thats the one I use. After about 3 to 5 days your skin will be pretty and kind of glittery too. It shines in the sunlight. I love the stuff.
