Hi!
Yes, that is definitely possible. In fact I have seen it happen more than once. If you were my patient, I would check beta HCG levels to be certain that they were rising appropriately, and then ultrasound after they reached 2000 or so. In addition, I like to check a progesterone level, and supplement if necessary.
Hope it is true and all goes well!

I had an ultrasound , I'm 5w6d pregnant, my hcg levels are low, but they didn't see anything on the ultrasound, not even a sac. They want to repeat it in a few days. They said it could be ectopicEctopic pregnancy or it could just be too early. I'm quite certain of my dates. I'm terribly worried that this is ectopicEctopic pregnancy. Did anyone else have an ultrasound that showed nothing at this time but showed a sac in ther uterus a few days later? Or does this resemble an ectopicEctopic pregnancy that anyone has had? I have no other ectopicEctopic pregnancy symptoms but I'm wondering if there's any hope at all. Thanks,
Brenner
YES! It happened to me.
I am 5 weeks 2 days pregnant... and had a miscarriage just 9 weeks ago. I didn't have AF inbetween... just ovulated late and got pregnant! Crazy. :-)
