Can anyone help?

Hey ladies I know some of you on here helped me answer a few questions when I was still pregnant so I was wondering if you could help me now. My baby turned 2 weeks ago yesterday and was breast and bottle feeding, but we have been moving and so feeding him by bottle was more convenient since I did not have any place to sit down and actually breastfeed him. He has strictly had a bottle for over 24 hours now and won't latch onto me anymore. I still want to breastfeed and feel so guilty and upset that he won't eat from me anymore. I first had to introduce formula because he is very gassy and the soothe formula helps soothe his tummy. I can not afford a breast pump to help out at the moment either. I just want the best start for my baby, can anyone help?

My insurance co gave me a free ameda double electric pump which is about 200$ pump!!!! All I had to do was ask my Dr to write a script for a pump, went right to a medical supply company on a list given to me by my insurance company and it was mine!!!!! Try it, it should work for you!!!!

I don't have any experience with breast feeding. However here in California wic will give you a Madela double electric breast pump if you work or go to school 20hrs per week. Otherwise they will give a single manual pump.

I got him to feed from me for about minute when he wasn't hungry. He's working on it and getting better a little each time :) I didn't know WIC have out breast pumps though. Has anyone ever received one from them before? I was planning on getting one in a few weeks when we had the money, I'm just scared of my milk drying up. How long does it take for it to start drying up?

Try contacting a lactation consultant, sometimes, depending on your insurance you can get a script from her and the pharmacy will fill it

Do you have good insurance? Sometimes your insurance will buy a breast pump for you..I heard wic provides them too if you have that. Good luck!
