Canadian health care

Holy sh*t. I keep reading about the rules and costs in the U.S. and could not be happier to be Canadian. We're able to give birth however we want without cost. I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with my obgyn. We should really be grateful for the health care we have. Sometimes it seems slow and annoying, but being pregnant everything has gone smoothly and wonderful. Any other Canadians feeling pretty happy about how easy we have it through pregnancy?

Don't yall have to pay higher taxes though?

All of my pregnancy related bills cost $500 and that doesn't even include monthly premium. Yuuucckkk. But I got medicaid now so soon after the baby gets here I not gonna have to pay anything. The new healthcare reform has helped in some ways, mostly to the poor youth.

13% is income tax? How much is your minimum wage?

Ours is $7.25, they just denied a bill to increase it to $10.10!

I'm Canadian currently living in the Caribbean. And I'm moving back to Canada to have my baby for sure. For now I'm soaking in as much fun and sun till August. Proud Canadian! I just watched a documentary on YouTube called pregnant in America. You should watch it.
