Caring for infant/child ..

As a soon to be first time young mother in college I do have some worries.
If I'm going to be doing things the right way
I feel unprepared like I won't change the diaper right or can't hold the baby right
Even though I taken care of babies before it's not the same as having and taking care of your own.
Does anyone have any positive advice or suggestions on how they manage when they were a first time parent ?

I found taking care of my own baby much easier than taking care of others. Babies just want their mom so just being there or having them in a carrier will calm them a lot. As for diapers, you change a ton in the early days and you'll get lots of practice. :)

Being a mom is instinctive  (I know you've heard that before). If you've been anywhere near kids or you've changed a diaper one time, you've got it. It's pretty self explanatory and there isn't much to know. Everything extra you hear is only tricks to make it easier after the fact. I've raised 13 kids (not my own if course) and this is my first baby and it makes me feel better when it read magazines and articles non stop. Try going to babble.com and looking at the pregnancy section. Makes me feel so much more confident. The website is articles from parents talking about being parents but better than blogs or articles. It's like a mixture of the two.
