My son drives me crazy cause he chews super loud and makes a bunch of other noises while he eats and his mouth isn't even open. My boyfriend can't stand when people chew loud either so we were talking about it and trying to figure out what causes some people to chew loud even when their mouth is closed ... Lol... I think it's the shape of the teeth he thinks its the size of the mouth ... Either way it drives us both crazy ... He has to have music or TV on when he eats cause he even annoys himself

I understand the annoyance, I get bugged easily by children that aren't mine and aren't being raised better!
Just keep reminding him to chew with his mouth closed,
every time.
He'll eventually get annoyed by you saying it over and over and learn lol

You could try a reward for when he closes his mouth or doesn't drink the water,  something small like play an extra 5 minutes before bed

Yes its normal they chew like that because they don't know any better, toddlers are in training, parents teach their children to chew with their mouths closed BC its polite and chewing mouth wide open or talking with foods in mouth is not polite
