Cleft lip

im 25 weeks and at my 19 week ultra the tech said my baby was fine, but at my doctors appointment they said the tech said they couldn't see my baby's top lip, so they don't know if the baby has cleft lip or cleft palate, should I worry? Is it hereditary?

Honestly it's unknown if it is or not, hereditary plays a small role. Does anyone in your family or your bfs have a cleft lip or a similar condition? I wouldn't worry too much until you get another ultra sound done. Sometimes it's hard to see the baby completely

I wouldn't worry too much sounds like they just couldn't get a good picture not specifically that they think baby has it. Another US should answer that, and cleft lip/palate is mostly a cosmetic disorder
